Dr. Woods focuses his practice to the care of the whole family, starting at the age of two, including office-based minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Woods was raised in Burkburnett, Texas. He graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. He attended medical school at Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock, where he graduated with honors in 1987. He then completed a three year Family Practice Residency program at Baylor College of Medicine, graduating in 1990. Dr. Woods has been a practicing physician in Sherman, Texas since July of 1990. He maintains staff privileges at Wilson N. Jones & Texoma Medical Center Hospitals.

Dr. Woods is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice, member of the American Academy of Family Practice, Texas Medical Association, Grayson County Medical Society, and the Texas Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Woods is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice.

Dr. Woods and his wife LaTressa live in Sherman where they raised their six children. He and his staff would like the privilege of providing your family with personalized, quality healthcare.
